All 4 sides have been not only visually examined, but also played and carefully listened to all the way through. The sound reproduction is really impressive, flaw-free, no skips, no jumps, no clicks or other funny noises, just sounds great.
Outer Cover
* Laminated cover by Garrod and Lofthouse
* Top-loading sleeve - 1st issue
* Numbered copy, 0251186
* "The Beatles" embossed in laminate on front cover
* "stereo" stamped on back at the topright corner
* VG+ condition, no delamination, all flapbacks firmly stuck down, a few minor creases and scuffs on the spine and on the entrance at the top where the records go in.
Black Inner Covers
* 2 original matt black inner covers, with the hole stamped on just 1 side.
* VG++ condition.
* No holes, no tears, fully intact with only a few small creases.
* Rating reduced from EX only because one inner has a small seam split about 1.5inch long on the bottom, visible only if you open it up and gaze inside.
* The other inner cover is fully intact.

( Side 1 rated play/EX- visual/ VG++ Just a few revolutions into the play you are aware of what a great copy this is for sound reproduction. There are three of the lightest of superficial scratches that become visible in strong light but these have no effect on the sound track. .
Side 2 play/VG++ visual/EX- there is a tiny scratch in the lead in groove at the start of the record that produces a click before the start of the music and for the first 4 revolutions of track 1. Thereafter the sound quality is wonderful.
Side 3 play/EX- visual/EX- just a few light scuffs visible on this side in the strongest light
Side 4 play/VG+ visual/VG there are 2 superficial scratches across the later tracks. I could not detect these on the soundtrack.)
