Description

The Beatles "White Album"

PLEASE SEE MY OTHER ITEMS FOR MORE VINYL RARITIES - IM HAVING A ONE OFF SALE OF SOME OF MY COLLECTION. ITEMS ARE PRICED TO SELL.

Original first UK stereo pressing, housed in its correct embossed 'numbered' laminate gatefold ('toploader') cover (no. 0313119).

This is a fully complete copy: both its vinyls, its toploader numbered cover, all 4 photo inserts, its poster & the two black inners are original and included.

ALL GRADINGS VISUAL (AS OF NOW) - PLEASE CHECK THE BOTTOM OF THE DESCRIPTION AGAIN IN A COUPLE OF DAYS FOR FULL PLAYBACK REPORT.

Cover: VG/VG+ (Very smart example, with some grazes to the spine & bottom edge - please zoom in to see, slightly more noticeable in person but nothing serious. Laminate on spine is peeling but quite natural for album of this age. No writing, no tearing, no splits - just a nice example.)

Side 1: VG+ (A couple of light scuffs)

Side 2: EX

Side 3: EX

Side 4: EX

Poster: VG+ (very light spotting and minute rip on the top, but still a great example)

Inner 1: VG (One edge scuffed and start to split, but possibly repairable)

Inner 2: VG+

Photo inserts: VG+

Matrixes are as follows:

Side 4: YEX 712-1

Side 3: YEX 711-2

Side 2: YEX 710-2

Side 1: YEX 709-1

Cover correctly has the word 'stereo' stamped on the top right side of the back cover.

Very interesting variation, with both Side 3 and 4 omitting the 'EMI' credit usually positioned at 9 o'clock on the label.

Please sse my other vinyl that I have just listed on eBay.

Many thanks

Just had a play of a couple of tracks from all four sides, and I must say that this Stereo press is one of the best mixes I have ever heard of this album; the instruments were clear and the vocals were well-defined. There is a greater sense of 'atmosphere' in this editions mix than in the Mono edition, in my opinion. This particular copy played great, with a nice punchy sound and very tolerable amounts of background noise - I think that any present static etc. could be further reduced to near negligible amounts with another professional clean before playing next, but still sounds fantastic as it is. I haven't performed an extensive clean myself as I know collectors have their own unique ways of doing this, so I will leave it untouched. Overall, I think this sounds great, and I think most people who listen to this mix would also agree - the chances are that you already know about the brilliance of this pressing if you are looking at this listing. A nice copy, and I am confident you will not be disappointed with the great sound of this album!
