Description
The Beatles - The White Album. UK first pressing with extremely low number. A very rare and sought after collectable item. Sleeve number is No. 0000586 and, as far as I’m aware, the numbered copies reach into the 600,000's.
Discs: VG
Sleeve: VG
"Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable."
DISCS
Discs have quite a few surface marks all of which are light and don’t affect playback. Plays smoothly all the way through with some, if light and minimal, surface noise and no skips or pops. Photographs of the discs have not been provided because it's quite difficult to take photos of vinyl without it looking much better than it really is, for more photos please message.
Both discs play through really well with only minimal surface noise, certainly never overwhelming and no skips. Visually they're G+ but are certainly a VG for playback.
The disc labels are the earliest versions omitting ‘An E.M.I. Recording’ from them.
Run out matrix numbers are:
Side 1: XEX 709-1
Side 2: XEX 710-1
Side 3: XEX 711-1
Side 4: XEX 712-1
Both discs have been professionally cleaned.
SLEEVE
Toploader sleeve. The sleeve is VG with some wear to the cover, inners, poster and photos, all photographed. Bottom left corner of the cover is dinged and has some light creasing. Inner gatefold has a few markings from the previous owner of ‘GH’ indicating which songs were written by George Harrison and disc numbers. These were originally written in biro and have been removed to the best of my ability leaving indentations and some markings, a photo has been provided but they have been removed a bit more since they were taken. This also goes for the outer sleeve which had a name at the top, again, only the indentation remains (photo). Slight smokey smell to the jacket.
Comes with poster and photos which, for transparency, were sourced from another 1st press copy. All are in very good condition with some light discolouration in places.
Collection is preferred but otherwise the item will be sent for free insured and with delivery guarantee.
More details and/or photographs available upon request.
