Description
This once-in-a-lifetime collection comprises over 2,000 LPs, 1,000 45s/EPs & many box sets from virtually every country/territory where Beatles records were released.
All records will be sold exclusively on Ebay in auction format only (no 'Buy It Now' offers please) and WITHOUT RESERVE.
Due to the number of discs listed each week, gradings are visual only. However we are happy to provide audio grades on request.
This week, we are proud to offer some choice items from the U.S. section of the collection
This is a genuine '3rd state' (peeled) STEREO example of The Beatles' infamous 'Butcher Cover'
The rear panel bears a small number '5' indicating manufacture at Capitol's Los Angeles factory
Complete with original orange Capitol inner-sleeve
The L.A. pressed stereo disc is on the rainbow Capitol label: ST 2553
Matrix numbers: ST-1-2553-B14 & ST-2-2553-B-14
Disc weight: 152g
CONDITION
Cover: VERY GOOD
The front panel has undergone a respectable peel, but you can judge for yourself in the above images
There is damage to the lower seam and some water damage to the lower part of the rear panel
The upper seam is intact, as is the spine & its text
Disc: GOOD
Clean labels & playing surfaces but with numerous light surface marks and hairlines consistent with frequent play
Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD
Some storage wrinkles and small seams splits to each side
- Our grading is strict & conservative in strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- Each record is professionally & securely packaged in custom-made record mailing boxes with the disc removed from the cover.
