Original 1st US pressing factory sealed copy of The Doors’ debut album released by Elektra Records on June 23rd, 1967. It’s almost impossible nowadays to find this issue in a factory sealed condition. This is the Mono release with the catalog number “EKL-4007” of the album which is recognized as one of the greatest albums in the history of rock music. It’s most likely this copy represents the East Coast pressing based on the fact that it was acquired at one of the “Twin Fair” discount department stores which were located in New York, Connecticut and Ohio. The Mono catalog number “EKL-4007” is located on the front and back cover as well as the bottom spine. It’s guaranteed that inside you’ll find the 1st print gold or light brown (tan) Elektra Records Mono labels with the large “E” logo at the top and the “EKL-4007” catalog number.
