Description

An original 1st press of MH on the Elektra UK label from 1970. Matrix A1/B1. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Also included is the original plastic bag warning inner sleeve date coded to winter 1969 - just a couple of months before 1st release. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) Is still in lovely condition and has only seen a light to moderate level of use. Under close inspection we could make out a good few light marks per side, and one small semi feelable one which does sound - see below for details. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. This DOORS record just sounds marvellous on vinyl... [I am slightly biased on this one though!!]. Interference is both minor and infrequent. By and large a clean player with just a touch of light static sporadically in "SPY". Nothing invasive that detracts it's just not quite as clean as the rest of the LP. The only deviation is, roughly, six ticks audible in the right channel in the opening section of Track 1. Thankfully it occurs whilst the track is at full pace and volume - so they're partially obscured. Providing you can live with that one aberration the rest of the LP will you knock-you-out!
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has been cared for down the years. Clean front and back with some light handling and then, on the front, a sticker removal mark top-right. The interior looks immaculate - no issues at all. Edge wear is light mostly except for a two inch section in the middle of the spine which has obliterated the text. Overall the cover retains a very good level of rigidity. Still very nice!
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits, but a couple of words written both sides.
