Description

A rare original Gold label Elektra USA Mono edition of the Doors 1967 classic Strange Days lp.Not only is it in nice all round condition it has the original picture inner lyric sleeve.It's an iconic photo of this seminal band and it's no exaggeration to say that finding one in this or any kind of condition is very difficultThere is a 2 1/2 centimetre split on the bottom caused by the record being stored for decades but i got a new protective one to save it from any further wear .The outer cover sleeve as collectors of 1960s American lps will attest were very prone to ring and edgewear.These non laminated sleeves are infamous for being trashed but although this one has some slight flaws compared to most it's an excellent example.As for the vinyl it's still retains its gloss but there are some slight scuffs and marks but as my playtest on my Sony 1976 PS1700  with AudioTechnica Microlinear stylus revealed that there are a few soft ticks on a couple of tracks and between a couple of tracks tracks but nothing  that takes away from the listeners enjoyment of this classic lp.To summarise a lovely copy of a rare classic.As always see pictures for details.Also as ever any questions are more than welcome.Thanks for looking and good luck 🙂
