New Seller, Old Beat Up Records. Up for auction is a mostly unknown about 1964 Texas Frat Rock LP by THE JADES, titled IT'S THE JADES. Issued on CHING RECORD Co. or THE CHING AGENCY A tough sounding white boy bad attitude style of pre Beatles surf, frat rock with a little dance motion thrown in. Similar to THE RIVIERAS, early KINGSMEN, with JERRY COLE styled guitar licks. Nothing is documented about this LP under Google Search, There was a similar band from Texas listed on Popsike, but different cover and no song titles were listed, possible different group or LP. Update, there is a mention of this LP under "Jack Calmes The Jades" on Google Search
What is known about this JADES LP is the Lead Guitarist and Band Manager, JACK CALMES. Reportedly started "SHOWCO" a professional lights, sounds, staging and logistics company which stated in the mid 60's, provided equipment for the 73, 75, 77 Led Zepplin tours, and then split off into "SYNCROLITE" a Major Million Dollar Architectural and Theatrical Production Company, plus getting "hitched up" with MORGAN FAIRCHILD for awhile, lucky man that JACK CALMES. But for some reason Mr. Calmes does not talk much about his first band and LP, THE JADES.

Visually 12" 33rpm Vinyl Record Album is VG+, there are a number of scuffs, light scratches, and hairlines, nothing overly major and the soundback and playback is VG++, a nice copy. No major pops, tics, skips, major background noise, hiss or unhappy listening enjoyment. Center label has some spindle marks, visual and noticeable wear around center hole. Super heavy and thick black vinyl pressing, decent shine, sheen and bright shiny gloss. Not brand new and perfect looking but the only copy which it appears has ever come to auction.
Outer cover jacket has noticeable record to record rub transfer wear on front and back covers, major masking tape visible at top edge and along spline, price with blue ink pen "all over the place" near top left corner on back cover, some spots of something near bottom right corner on back cover, lots of spots, record ring wear and transfer wear, A kinda "worn" looking cover which grades VG- to VG
