Description

An original unboxed stereo pressing of Aftermath on the Decca label from 1969. Matrix 1W/1W. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Robert Stace pinched spine stereo cover. Also included is an original Decca inner sleeve from the late-60's. 
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks each side, and a superficial trail - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are mostly silent and the audio comes across with superb clarity. The low-key tracks play very nice and clean too with one exception. All I could detect was a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. And the only deviation is in the first minute of Lady Jane -there's a light tick per revolution in that first section. Not intrusive, but noticeable by virtue of the track being very low-key. Providing you can live with that one aberration the rest of the Lp is absolutely knock-out!
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. In my experience some of these early Stones covers are THE hardest to find in decent condition. But this example acquits itself admirably looking far better than most copies that surface. Lovely clean and shiny front cover with just a couple of thumbnail creases over toward the opening. The rear, which is usually the problem area, looks sweet and has pretty much avoided the ageing process. Edge wear is very light and the openings still sharpish. The spine is fully intact and all text still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Lightest ageing. No splits!
