Description
A 1972 1st pressing of 'Exile on Main St' on the UK Rolling Stone label. Matrix A1/B2/C1/D3. Etching 'Rolling Stones Records'. There is also the little record logo of 'Artisan Mastering in LA'. The records come housed in original square cornered inner sleeves. The sleeves then fit into an original Shorewood Packaging box cover. All of the above is consistent with 1st Issue from 1972. And what's even better is that this LP has barely been used at all!
Vinyl (Ex+) This is one of those LP's where all you can do is sit back and marvel at it. To all intents and purposes this lp has been hardly used since it was pressed back in 1972. The records look shiny like new and I cannot make out any marks or even spider trails at all. So, it has clearly seen very very slight use indeed. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Think about that for a second...what are the chances of that? Double Lp almost unplayed 45 years later>>> I can tell you that is very very unusual. Intros and inbetweens are absolutely silent. And the audio playback really is stellar.. I mean really really good. The audio comes across with perfect clarity and not a hint of background interference - all the way through. It is the best copy I have ever got my hands on and that is high praise indeed. This is your final upgrade if you are looking for the best of the best.
Cover (Ex+) Well, when I first saw this cover my first reaction was 'this can't be the original!' I mean the preservation is so good I just couldn't believe it was original to 1972. But after carefully checking every detail I can confirm this is indeed a true original cover from 1972. It truly is a marvel to behold and most certainly the best I've ever seen. Handling wear is almost non-existent and I can tell you that that is incredibly unusual on this LP. There are no hidden rips or tear. The spine is perfectly intact. I guess it's just one of those copies that turn up out of the blue..but is certainly a pleasant surprise!
Inners (Ex+) perfectly intact. These look like they were made yesterday. But are definitely from 1972!
