Description

This is an original 1970 boxed stereo copy of LIB on the UK Decca label. Matrix 2/2. Stampers 1-BCM/1-BCH. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed in England by Clout & Baker. Also included is an original blue and white bespoke Decca inner sleeve. The inner sleeve still shows the 'London Bach Choir' credit - which hadn't been redacted at this point. Also included is the original poster. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In immaculate condition and looks to have only seen very light use. Check out those label shots!! Under close inspection we struggled to make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. The audio quality is stunningly as you'd expect from an early Decca pressing which is supremely well preserved. Interference is pretty much non-existent. All we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. Even 'Love In Vain' - the test track...plays really clean and that is quite unusual. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) LIB is a really difficult cover to find in top condition - particularly that unprotected rear. This copy is astonishingly well preserved. Lovely shiny front which is exhibiting nothing more than two tiny thumbnail creases. The rear is a stunner...very rarely do you see it looking anywhere near this good. Unaged and almost totally unmarked. Edge wear is very light and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies totally flat.
Inner (Ex-) A couple of age spots. No splits.
Poster (Ex+) Pristine. No splits or creasing. Practically faultless - never been on a wall.
