Description

An original 1st stereo press of TTPD on the UK Decca label. Matrix 1W/2W. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original hexagonal gatefold cover with exposed internal flipbacks. Also included is the original hexagonal inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intro and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Interference is largely absent. All I could detect were a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. The only vague deviation is a couple of minor isolated ticks during Track 1. Very minor and pretty easy to miss completely. Overall a very accomplished performer which renders these Stones tracks with precision and confidence.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) One seriously nice looking cover and these hexagonal originals are difficult to find looking quite this sweet. First things first, the front cover seems to have escaped the usual fading and dreaded laminate lift. The image is clear without interruption and lovely vivid colours. The rear is in similarly fine form -  I can only make out one minor crease toward the bottom of the front..and nothing at all on the rear. Just check out the edges! This is really unusual - there's barely any signs of wear or feathering. They are basically still sharp and don't look far off new. The interior is immaculate with no issues at all. The spine is in super condition - most examples have some of heavy wear of tearing at the edges, or the text is wearing away. But this copy is not far off perfect with all words in place and only very slight signs of wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex/Ex+) Immaculate. No ageing. No creasing or marks. Quite frankly very unusual.
