Description
First pressing of the first Velvet Underground LP, "& Nico", on Verve Records, in mono, with blue Verve label, gatefold cover. This copy is one of those that was recalled after Eric Emerson threatened to sue for the use of his image on the back cover; the solution was to put a big black sticker over his image (called "The Emerson Lawsuit Threat Sticker"), until the art department could create new cover art with Emerson airbrushed out.
Cover is missing yellow banana sticker,the back black sticker has been peeled off (presumably to see the controversial image of Eric Emerson), the letter "b" has been drawn on front and back, other general wear and several creases, one 4-inch seam rip on top. The LP is scratched and sounds like it, label shows spindle marks. See all photos.
