Description

The Who. Tommy.1st pressing. limited edition no:1544 !!

Rare 1969 U.K. Track Record 1st Pressing 'Tommy' by The Who.  Double Vinyl 1st Press with 1st Press Matt Track Labels w/ Record 1/2 Text & 1st Press A1//B1//C1//D1 Matrix!!! Complete With  Laminated  Tri-fold E. J. Day sleeve & 1st press numbered booklet .

The labels contain 'Double Album' and '(Record 1/2)' text in the left hand side of each label, no text printed under the double disc 'ST 33' logos on the right hand side of each label . 1st press A1//B1//A1//B1 Matrix endings.

The cover and booklet are in excellent condition as are the vinyl, both albums play with only light crackle, no pops or sticking. The pull out booklet has  "limited edition serial number 1544 " indicating a very early first pressing. The cover has only slight fraying around the edges but otherwise at least very good. (sorry I am not too clued up as to critical grading)

I have owned this record since 1969 and it has not been played in over twenty years.

I have just had an appraisal from a record dealer who rates the vinyl as excellent condition.

I have just had another appraisal from a record dealer who states that i am "under selling" this item, he says the album must be one of the first weeks pressings and that both album cover and vinyl are "excellent to excellent plus".
