Description

An original 1st press of YES ALBUM on UK red & plum Atlantic. Matrix A1/B1. Note the publishing credits are Campbell Connolly - and are yet to have changed to Rondor. The vinyl comes housed in an original deluxe cover with a very solid opening panel on the left. We also have the original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In great shape and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make outa  couple of very fine marks per side - nothing worrying or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A really smart little player - clean through those acoustic moments on side 1. Not 100% clean though. I detected a few crackles toward the end of 'No Disgrace', and a couple of ticks. Four ticks as 'Your Move' closes out. Nothing intrusive or annoying. Given the rest of the LP plays back so well - a very small price to pay.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and is looking pretty spritely for its 50 years of age! Nice deep blacks with hardly any surface wear front and rear. The interior look excellent - no issues at all. Very minor edge wear in the occasional spot - much better than you typically find. Nice sharp and firm openings. Spine in excellent order with minimal wear - text is 99% legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. No splits.
