Description

This is the rare original deep-groove pressing of Thelonious Monk “Monk’s Music” on the white and blue reel-logo labels of Riverside RLP 12-242. The flat-rim playing surface is in excellent condition, though there are three successive light tics on Side 1, Track 2 and four successive light tics on Side 2, Track 2. The laminated cover is in extraordinary condition - immaculate – with sharp corners and perfect seams; small inked number at the upper right corner of the back slick. Personnel include John Coltrane, Coleman Hawkins, Gigi Gryce, Wilbur Ware, and Art Blakey WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL.
