Jeff got this one years ago from Tom Blessing's Mother and it was hand written by Tom. (Tom Thumb &) The Casuals ONE OF A KIND NW ACETATE 1965 "Move-On" (different take released as "Movin' On") / Unreleased "Chitlens Con Carne". Acetate has a light warp, some super light surface scratches and tiny edge chips but plays and sounds great on my player and can be heard on youtube under jmosrite. Handwritten Labels have wear. Their release on Seafair Bolo was titled Tom Thumb and The Casuals "Movin' On" / "The Shuffle Thing". Due to fragility of vinyl over metal it will be shipped Priority in the U.S.
Tom Thumb and the Casuals formed in Seattle, Washington when (Tom) Blessing and Letterman recruited Wolfe from a local band, The Nomads, in 1963. They attracted sufficient interest to get a deal with Seafair-Bolo Records. Their song Movin' On got a lot of local airplay and became a local hit. In 1965 Jim Valley's brother, Steve, joined the band. They soon signed to Jerry Dennon's Panorama label. Their two resulting 45s attracted considerable airplay. During the era of Teen Fair Battles of the Bands Contests, they wound up winning one of those events. Just when their future was looking bright, tragedy struck. The band's vehicle crashed enroute to a performance in Richland, Washington. Blessing and Evans were killed. Valley was injured but recovered.
