Description
Artist: Tubby Hayes Quartet.
Serial number and label details: Tempo TAP 29. Produced in 1960. (Some websites have this down as 1958 or 1959 but if you look at previous listings that come up on popsike or ebay, you will find it is actually 1960)
Matrix number: VMGT-1636-1B on both sides and a 1 and U at 3 and 9 o'clock respectively. RPM: 33
Size: 12"
The following conditions are described with the Rare Record Guide guidelines in mind.
Sleeve Condition: Laminated sleeve. There is some creasing at the corners (please see photographs). Bottom edge of front is slightly stained (photograph shows it worse than it is!). Inside the sleeve is a line of brown on both sides (see photograph of close up). I would imagine this is where the original inner stuck to the sleeve as often happened with records of the late 50s or early 60s in the cellophane inners.
Vinyl Condition: There are some hairlines going across the vinyl. None of them are deep. Most of them go into the run off. There is spindle wear on both sides.
Inners/posters etc: Probably not the original inner (see photograph). Liberty advertising inner which has a complete seam split all along the bottom. I will include this inner incase it is the original but will also put the vinyl in a better cellophane centred one.
