The Pharoahs (Pharaohs) where a USA vocal / doo wop group based in Germany entertaining the troops, boosting morale and reminding them of the musical legacy that awaited them back in the States.

Paul Brown from Portland, Oregon; Manchester Brooks from Patterson, New Jersey; Reginald Smith from Detroit, Michigan; John James from Baltimore, Maryland and Frank Jones from Wilmington, North Carolina. These boys aged between twenty-one and twenty-three.

You will never see a comparable copy of this amazing RARITY, this is genuinely the rarest UK EP and was not pressed anywhere else in the world. This Decca original DFE 6522 is a must have item and is one for the serious Doo-Wop / Vocal Group all over the world

 

I have seen a lesser copy of this record sell a few years ago for in excess of £2,000
