Description

Heifetz had a running joke about bad violin playing, maybe inspired by Jack Benny, with whom he appeared on radio many times in the 1940s. According to legend, in the 50s he made a series of amazing "bad" violin records under a couple of pseudonyms, including Victor Belmor. Some also say Belmor was a real person, and these records were privately pressed because he was unable to secure a proper recording deal. So the Belmor records are either a hilarious gag or an oddball enigma. Either way they are all legendary collectors items and highly prized. This is among the rarest of the bunch, the only copy I have ever run across. On it he plays:

Cover is very near perfect mint. Obviously hand made and cheaply printed, so usually they are falling apart when you see them now. The disc is also very near perfect mint. Probably only played once or twice. If that. A glorious and very rare copy.
