Description

Presenting a sought-after 78 RPM record sleeve for Vocalion "race" records issued in the late 1920s.  This example is in uncommonly excellent condition with no splits or tears.  There is some minor wrinkling in two corners and along the top edge.  The paper is still pretty crisp. 
The reverse lists some of the artists that would have been associated with this sleeve such as  Tampa Red, Leroy Carr, Reverend Nix, and Lulu Jackson.
The illustrations of a man playing guitar while seated and the dancing woman must have been an inspiration to R. Crumb because they are very similar in style. 
The sleeve will be carefully shipped within a sturdy cardboard container.
