Description
- Near mint 1968 Warner Brothers gold label stereo original LP from Van Dyke Parks "Song Cycle" (WS 1727, stereo).
- This LP is on The Absolute Sound (TAS) super disc list of outstanding audiophile recordings.
- Included is a letter from Warner Brothers Records, dated December 6, 1967, offering the LP as a complimentary copy.
- Providing backup are some of the best session musicians around including Hal Blaine, Randy Newman, Tommy Tedesco, Tom Scott and others.
- The tracklist is: Vine Street/Palm Desert/Widow’s Walk/Laurel Canyon Blvd/The All Golden/Van Dyke Parks/Public Domain/Donovan’s Colours/The Attic/Laurel Canyon Blvd/By the People/Pot Pourri.
- The glossy LP looks and plays very close to mint (I do not rate opened LPs as mint) with crisp, clear playback. I can see no marks on the vinyl or any spindle marks on the labels. The cover has no splits or cutouts. There is some light wear and aging and a stock # in one back corner. I rate the cover as a strong VG+.
