Description
Here is a nice stock copy of a single by The Charlatans: "High Coin" b/w "When I Go Sailin' By" (Philips 40610). Released in May, 1969. The A side is written by Van Dyke Parks, Greenwood Music Co. (named after the Greenwood County Singers, of whom Van Dyke Parks was a member) and arranged by The Charlatans. Van Dyke Parks recently said that the version of "High Coin" Jackie De Shannon released is his favorite. Although this one is good as well.
Members are Richard Olsen, Mike Wilhelm, Darrell DeVore, and Terry Wilson.
Record is in G+ to VG- condition. Vinyl is starting to lose its gloss, and there are several light scuffs. Some writing on the A side label, but the B side label is clean. Plays loud through minor noise and some high end distortion typical of styrene pressings (which this copy is). Just some wear. Overall, a good copy to have around if you don't yet own this hard to find single.
