Description

I am selling some of my personal vinyl collection. Many of these records are originals purchased by me new in the 1970’s/80’s and have been extremely well looked after, having only been played a handful of times on a Linn Sondek turntable with a light stylus tracking force of 1.5g.

Unless stated otherwise, the vinyl can be considered as mint and shiny with no marks – basically as new. The covers vary in condition but most are excellent just showing the usual signs of storage – slight scuffing, etc. I test play all records before sale and don't sell anything that does not look in great condition or anything that does not sound superb!

This is quite a find from my collection. It is an original copy of Van Morrison's classic "Astral Weeks" on the Warner Brothers Burbank (Palm Trees) label K 46024.

Matrix marks A3/B3.

The amazing thing about this record is the vinyl looks totally mint. Even in strong sunlight I cannot discern any visible marks and the Burbank label is so colourful and bright the record looks as new, just like out of the shop! Not bad for a 30-40 year old record.

A test play on my new Rega RP6 turntable just amazed me - the best copy of this album I have heard with clear and authoritative sound and very low background noise for vinyl. The fact the LP has been stored in a Nagaoka inner sleeve may explain the fine condition.

Original Garrod & Lofthouse laminated cover condition is excellent as it has been stored in a plastic liner. Just a slight outline mark from LP on rear and a minor tiny crease on the top edge.

I dispatch worldwide in reinforced heavy duty LP mailers with inserts either side. See my other auctions as I can combine postage. Some countries may require International Signed For.

Please see my feedback, particularly on other records I have sold, and thanks for looking.
