Description

This is the very first pressing of the very first release by The Beatles in the US on Feb 7, 1963. This features the notoriously misspelled "Beattles" name and the exceptionally rare original "#498" catalog number on the label instead of the more commonly seen "VJ 498" label which was released on February 20, 1963. One of the rarest and most sought after Beatles records in existence. The visual grade is around G+ and the play grade in the lower VG range. I have Mp3 captures (available upon request) of both sides played through on my Linn LP12 with a nice MC cartridge and she plays through beautifully with no skips and only light background noise that does not overpower the music. This is an excellent find that presents very well visually and audibly for it's rarity. The last two pictures show the wear patterns in the glare showing the presence of micro hairlines and a few scratches on each side.
