Velvet Underground & Nico, w/ Peelable Banana! Torso V6-5008
You are looking at an original stereo copy of the classic VU record (non-torso cover) with an intact banana peel, but also with some issues.
The record looks extremely clean, but has a few spots with pops/clicks, including one near the end of "Sunday Morning" that produces a couple skips. Other than the skips, I'd grade the record Vg overall.
The cover is in good condition. It has a subtle stain around the outer edge of the lower half of the front, initials written inside the "Verve" logo on the reverse, and a bit of discoloration overall. The inside cover is nice. No splits, and the spine is excellent.
The sticker itself has a few wrinkles, as though it may have been removed and re-applied. Also, it is positioned such that it covers the left side of the "PEEL SLOWLY AND SEE". I don't know if that ever happened with the original sticker placement or not. There is also a sign of the top of the stem having been lifted, but it is now well stuck to the cover.
Since there is some concern that the peel has been removed and glued to the cover, I lifted the stem a bit to see. It peeled back with some resistance but no trouble and separated from the cover cleanly. It does not appear to have been glued.
