MAILING COSTS ARE SHOWN AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DESCRIPTION:   WARNER BROS 1979 PROMO : THE RAIN PEOPLE : THE GREAT BANK ROBBERY & MORE   The other selections are less collectable than these two, since there was a soundtrack for each ; THE DAMNED, THE LEARNING TREE, THE WILD BUNCH and THE MADWOMAN OF CHAILLOT.    NOW, IT MUST BE SAID AT THE START, THAT THIS VERY RARE LP IS NOT UP TO MY USUAL STANDARDS. IT IS OFFERED BECAUSE OF ITS RARITY.  The first impression when you look at the surfaces, is to groan. Both sides have numerous surface marks all over, and had it not been for the two featured titles, I probably would have left this where I found it. But then there was the Hirschfeld cover art to consider, and the cover is in very nearly LIKE NEW condition, other than top right corner.   However, much to my surprise, when I played it at home, it played fine, right through, despite the countless marks.  Surface noise, yes, but not so as to make it unlistenable. It is likely that one with the equipment to do so,  could make a transfer of it that sounds fine.    BUT DO KNOW the foregoing about the condition BEFORE bidding, and understand that it will look worse than it plays. To the best of my knowledge, there are no other available recordings of these two rare titles, and especially the ZERO MOSTEL song.   The WARNER BROS record number is PRO329 (STEREO).   I will deal only with the featured titles, since they, and the Hirschfeld cover, are what makes this record so collectable.   (1) "THE RAIN PEOPLE" (1979)  Music by RONALD STEIN.  Nice long track of music on Side 1,   (2) "THE GREAT BANK ROBBERY" (1979) - An even longer track here is notable for (a) NELSON RIDDLE'S Main Title Theme, followed by a SAMMY CAHN - JIMMY HUGHSON song sung in the film by ZERO MOSTEL,  a very catchy little showstopper that would have been quite at home in a Broadway Musical Comedy.  You may find yourself singing along before its done.   All of the above play fine - yes, with some surface noise, though nowhere near what you'd expect when you see the vinyl.
