THE BEATLES - 'WITH THE BEATLES'

1963 UK 1st *STEREO* PRESSING LP

This fine early pressing is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3045.

Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but have 'Parlophone Co. Ltd..' rims.

The side 2 label publishing credit for 'Money' is 'Jobete Mus. NCB'.

Track 3 is misspelt as 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me'.

The 'KT' tax/price code is visible around the side 1 centre-hole.

Housed in the rare front laminated, tri-flipback 'Ernest J. Day' printed cover with a large 'STEREO' logo & the corrected 'You Really Got A Hold On Me' spelling.

Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' poly-lined inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: YEX 110-2 & YEX 111-2

Stamper codes: 2/AR & 2/RT

Disc weight: 160g

Disc

Labels: NEAR MINT

An immaculate pair which bear just a handful of light spindle trails to the side 2 centre hole but none around 1.

Visual: 1. NEAR MINT 2. EXCELLENT

Pristine high-gloss surfaces which essentially are 'as new' at first glance in strong daylight. Side 1 is MINT and side 2 is downgraded only due to a dull 3.5cm scratch across the final track on side 2. Close & careful inspection directly beneath my halogen desk lamp reveals nothing more than a sparkling rainbow gloss but no further marks or blemishes to either surfaces. Both sides of this high-quality pressing lies 100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.

Play: EXCELLENT

This copy has clearly been barely played and there is no significant deterioration to the sound quality on any track. In fact, the only audible blemish revealed by my careful playcheck at volume were a few faint/dull 'pops' in the band between the final two tracks on side 2 which is the only audible evidence of the aforementioned mark. Not easy to find better.

Cover

VERY GOOD

A respectable example of this rare cover which retains a bright, unyellowed front panel laminate with some light storagewear rubbing to the laminate but no creasing or any other significant wear. There is slight wear to the corners and the rear opening edge but no heavy bumps or tears anywhere. The rear panel is clean & bright with again a few light storage marks but no writing or missing paper. All of the delicate flipbacks are fully intact and undamaged, as are both both seams adn the perfectly worded spine.

Inner-sleeve

VERY GOOD

Clean & flat with just the unavoidable light disc impression and minor storagewear but no writing or major faults.
