This outstanding 1963 UK MONO 2nd pressing is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1202
The side 2 label carries the revised 'Dominion. Belinda' publishing credit for 'Money'.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrices: XEX 447-7N & XEX 448-7N
Stamper codes: 3,4,10,14/GOL & 4/TT
Vinyl weight: 146g
Housed in the rarer front laminated, tri-flipback 'Ernest J. Day' printed mono cover.
The rear panel carries the revised 'You Really Got A Hold On Me' spelling.
Complete with original 'Use Emitex...' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT +
A clean set with just a small handful of spindle trails on each.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both playing surfaces retain all of their deep-gloss factory sheen with no noticeable surface marks in strong daylight. Closer examination directly beneath halogen light reveals nothing more than some harmless wispy hairlines and a sparking rainbow shine.
Audio: MINT -
Played with care on good equipment, all tracks play flawlessly with no trace of any groove/playwear or any other audible issues. There are no clicks, pops or anythihng to spoil the audio on this well looked.after disc.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
This wonderfully preserved cover retains a glossy, unworn front panel showing just a touch of storage but no 'thumbnail' wrinkles or heavy spine or heavy creasing. The corners have a hint of shelfwear to their tips, which is forgivable after 57 years. Both opening edgse are immaculate front & rear and the rear panel is clean & perfectly white all-over. All of the delicate flipbacks are in-place and undamaged and both seams and the spine are in perfect condition. Tough to upgrade this beauty.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENTClean & flat with light storage wrinkles but no writing, tears or seam splits.
