Up for auction here is a copy of Youth Brigade's Possible EP, released on Dischord in 1981. There was only one pressing of 1000 copies, making this one of the rarest Dischord releases (even the Teen Idles managed to sell 2000 copies!). I'm not a vinyl snob by any stretch, but I think this record sounds MILES better than either the LP or CD reissues. I'm not sure why--Damage to the master tape? Funky NRP mastering on this release?--but it just has a lot more scorch than the reissues.
This is one of the early copies of the record, with a tombstone shaped lyric sheet. Later on they got tired of trimming the lyric sheets by hand, and left them squared off. Condition is NM/NM/NM. The only marks on the vinyl are from where the lyric insert pressed against it (the insert wound up stored INSIDE the inner sleeve for about twenty years, so if you look at the A side of the record, you can faintly see the outline of it repeated several times). If you've been wanting this record, this is your chance to pick up a perfect copy! BID VERY HARD!
