DESERI/ JELLY ROLL GUM DROPS
AUSTRALIA VERVE VS-11
The last of the Australian Verve catalogue of singles, released in 1969 and Distributed by Phonogram. It has the added ‘s’ to ‘drop’ which was unique to this release.
Always a rare item that still hardly turns up.
Under strong light the vinyl has many small hairlines, a handfull small marks. Nothing too serious. Deep black vinyl lustre still retained.
Plays with some surface noise with a handfull of small pops each side
Labels are clean with a few light spindle hole marks.
The mix on the Deseri single worldwide differs from the album version. The vocal track is on the right compared to the album being on the left. An extra ’Jelly Roll Gum Drop’ line at the end and no timpani drums
Comes with very clean original Phonogram factory sleeve.
