First ever legit vinyl reissue of this Israeli 70’s classic album. Originally released in 1977 and a highly collectable item, the band was under obvious influence of the Canterbury scene, with Caravan and Gentle Giant flavour all around.
This limited 500 copies reissue comes in gorgeous gatefold cover like the original, and has an informative insert. 100 copies only are coming to Europe.

ABOUT PEACE
“PEACE” was at first pressed as a promotional LP in a different track order. Later, due to commercial considerations, the tracks were re-arranged and pressed in the form that was available commercially. The original promotional vinyl was arranged in the form of two long suites and the track titled “Carnival” was 30 seconds longer than the version that appeared on the commercial release. This new reissue, the first time ever legit vinyl reissue, presents the LP in the original track order and mix of the rare promo vinyl.

Audio has been transferred carefully and professionally from the original promotional vinyl. We have attempted to preserve the original sound of the original recording as close as possible. Though some minor faults might be heard, we are proud of the much superior sound of this reissue.

ABOUT ZINGALE
ZINGALE, drawn of the word “Sing” (many people thought the band was named after the hebrew slang for a joint…) was formed in 1974 by David Bachar and Yonathan Stern. They joined in with Barak, Tamir and Shanan who were session/studio musicians. This line-up recorded in 1974 two tracks that were presented to Israeli Radio but received no attention at all. The band realized very quickly they had real chemistry between them and Jacob Bachar, the manager, thought they had a real international potential. He got Kolinor Studios in Israel and Decca Records in Europe, whose presidente was personally interested and involved, to invest in the band. Two new members joined, Tony Brower and Avi Weiss. Zingale started working on an album in English. By the end of 1975 the recording was completed and the band was preparing to go on an European tour sponsored by Decca, which was unfortunately postponed due to Decca’s president heart attack. In the meantime, the band had started working on new materials in hebrew and was signed by Hataklit Records in Israel. During 1976 and 1977 they had recorded new tracks in hebrew, some of thich were sent to radio stations. These tracks will be later released on vinyl. By that time the band had given up hope of an international career and decided to release their English record in Israel. In 1977 “Peace” was finally released in a small edition and had become an extremely rare and expensive collector’s item, desired by collectors all around the world. Not long after the release, the band did split up due to arguments about the recordings and mixes of the hebrew album (which was never actually finished).
