Released by Fontana in 1961 on TFL 5176.
This is without doubt one of the finest "live" jazz albums ever released in this country.
Just look at the line up.
From Zoot himself to the great Stan Tracey on piano, Jimmy Deuchar on trumpet, the wonderful Harold McNair on flute and of course not forgetting the superb backing by The Ronnie Scott Quintet.
Maybe you were lucky enough to have been in London at this time and visited the club during the 13th,14th or 15th November 1961,if so you will remember what incredible sessions these were.
This original issue is the rarest and most sought after of all Zoot's English albums.
The sleeve still with the original price ticket of 9/11d is in excellent condition (see photo),
The record has two or three light scratches, which gives a few faint clicks during the final few seconds of "Love For Sale" and continues on to the opening bars of "The Haunted Jazz Club", but nothing to spoil your enjoyment.
I have just played it through and the wonderful "live" atmosphere is truly magic.
Whoever buys this album will buy themselves a real treat. It has been to me a joy to own and a pleasure to play.
