14" Black label Victor Deluxe Special Record 2030. Victor Grand Concert Band playing THE FLYING DUTCHMAN (selections) by Wagner. Victor 14" records were introduced in March of 1903 in the 2000 series and were renumbered in September in the 41000 series. They apparently ended production early in 1904. Sales were poor. This fact, combined with the large size, has resulted in few surviving.
This disc has some minor superficial rubbing and one very tiny nick (two or three ticks). It is otherwise in very good condition (very slight needle wear but no blasting, no scratches or digs) and the large 5" label is bright (a couple very minor mks.). As with all 14" records, there is a small white tag affixed to the back stating, "By adjusting governor to permit of but 60 revolutions per minute, you will obtain the best results from this record."
I've been packing records for several decades and have specially made boxes and packing materials for 14" discs. Media mail charge for one 14" record is $6.00 or $12.00 via Special Handling. Overseas shipping (now Air Mail only from the U.S.) is $16.00.
