Description

14" Black label Victor Deluxe Special Record 41007 [2016].  VICTOR GRAND CONCERT BAND paying the "Overture" to von Weber's OBERON. Victor 14" records were introduced in March of 1903 in the 2000 series and were renumbered in September in the 41000 series. They apparently ended production early in 1904. Sales were poor. This fact, combined with the large size, has resulted in few surviving.

The large 5" label is very bright. There is some needle wear which will clear to a degree as the playing progresses. The label is in top condition.  I'd grade the surface as 4-5.  As with all 14" records, there is a small white tag affixed to the back stating, "By adjusting governor to permit of but 60 revolutions per minute, you will obtain the best results from this record."

I've been packing records for several decades and have specially made boxes and packing materials for 14" discs.
