Description

This item is absolutley RARE - a compilation that was planned for release in 1978, but all stock manufactured was destroyed as the release was cancelled. I know of only this cassette...I do not believe that the vinyl version was ever pressed (could be wrong) but I know - NEVER RELEASED COMMERCIALLY !

The cassette has never been played, however I would guess that it may never be playable as the old cassette tape oxidised and had a tendency to tangle and break. It is as shown in pictures - the original sleeve has yellowed slightly with age. It is in the original red EMI Records Australia cassette box - as it was ready to be released.

I am selling this as a totally rare collectable...not an item to be played.

AC/DC have not yet to this day released a best of compilation that I know of.

I can personally vouch the authenticity of the item for anyone that would like more info.

Quick update - have had many questions. The cassette is real and authentic. One UK bidder tells me they have a viny version, which I would have to see to believe! I have no more of these, none stashed away - I wish I did. This cassette has sat in a draw for 20 odd years! There may have been a few others...not very likely as this particular one came from the manufacturing plant at EMI Records on Columbia Lane in Homebush - Sydney Australia. EMI was the distributor and manufacturer of the Albert label in Australia until the late 80's I think. To my knowledge few survived and the production run was destroyed. Judging by the amount of enquiry - I would not be leaving this one until the last five minutes - there may be quite a lot of traffic!
