Condition : hardbound cover shows near the bottom right corner of the back a mini writing of three letters, LRP, otherwise perfect, NEAR MINT / vinyl has a few light scuffs without any slight or strong sound due to clicking and crackling to listening. However a moderate background noise can be heard on some tracks, EX+

 GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : il film parla di vicende sentimentali difficili senza comunque una particolare enfatizzazione in chiave drammatica. Trovaioli riesce perfettamente a distinguere la sottile linea che separa la tristezza e il dispiacere dalla forte sofferenza di fronte a delusioni amorose e crea una colonna sonora perfettamente aderente alla trama del film. Le sonorità dell'organo, flauto, violino ed altri strumenti riflettono quasi costantemente atmosfere di rimpianto e malinconia ma, attenzione, del tutto estranee a banali o impersonali connotazioni. Gli splendidi vocalizzi di Edda Dell'Orso, presente in otto brani: a1, a5, a6, b1, b2, b3, b4, b6, contribuiscono notevolmente a questa concezione musicale. I ritmi non sono mai troppo vivaci e spaziano tra movimenti lenti o moderati pur con qualche improvvisa accelerazione soprattutto grazie alla batteria. Il tema principale "Come, Quando, Perchè" è suonato in quattro differenti versioni (a1, a6, b1, b6), tutte con la voce di Edda Dell'Orso. Il primo ha un discreto ritmo con buona percussività, il secondo ha maggior dolcezza con organo e violini che supportano il vocalizzo, nel terzo è il flauto in compagnia dell'orchesta a scortare Edda mentre nell'ultimo c'è una prevalenza strumentale sulla vocalizzazione. Interessante e sofisticato il brano "Disperazione di un Ricordo"(a3) caratterizzato da suoni di flauto e arpa bruscamente interrotti da un forte intervento della batteria per subito ritornare accompagnati dal pianoforte. Piacevole ed unica traccia di natura spensierata è "Onde sulla Riva" (a4) con rilassanti senzazioni di vacanza marina trasmesse dall'organo con basso e batteria in supporto.

Notes : the film is about difficult love affairs still without a particular emphasis in dramatic key. Trovaioli succeeds perfectly to distinguish the thin line separating the sadness and regret from the great suffering in front of disappointments in love and creates a soundtrack perfectly adherent to the movie plot. The sound of the organ, flute, violin and other instruments reflect almost constantly atmospheres of regret and melancholy but, pay attention, wholly alien to trivial or impersonal features. The beautiful vocalizing of Edda Dell'Orso, present in eight tracks: a1, a5, a6, b1, b2, b3, b4, b6, contribute greatly to this musical concept. The rhythms are never too lively and range from slow to moderate movements though with some sudden speedup mainly due to drums. The main theme "Come, Quando, Perchè" is performed in four different versions (a1, a6, b1, b6), all with the voice of Edda Dell'Orso. The first has a fairly good rhythm with some percussiveness, the second has more sweetness with organ and violins supporting the vocalization, in the third the flute together with the orchestra accompanies Edda while in the last there is an instrumental prevalence over the vocalization. Interesting and sophisticated "Disperazione di un Ricordo" (a3) characterized by the sound of flute and harp abruptly interrupted by a loud passage of drums and then resuming their melody in company of the piano. "Onde sulla Riva" (a4) is the only one cheerful track evoking some relaxing sensations of sea holiday by means  of organ with bass and drums in support.

Intorno al tormento dei sentimenti è il tema di questo film coprodotto da Italia e Francia. La regia fu portata a termine da Valerio Zurlini dopo la morte di Antonio Pietrangeli, annegato nelle acque di Gaeta il 12 luglio 1968 durante le riprese del film. Con Philippe Leroy, Horst Buchholz, Danièle Gaubert e Liana Orfei.
