Description

Blue Note 4047 with 47 West 63rd St. address on both labels. Deep groove. Address on back of front cover is 43 West 61st St. Record has “ear” and “RVG” inscribed in the dead wax. Artists include Dave Burns, trumpet; Stanley Turrentine, tenor sax; Wynton Kelly, piano; Paul Chambers, bass with ‘Potato’ Valdez, conga on 3 of the 6 tunes. Rare edition. Cover: Mint(-). Minor aging on back cover and minor edge wear with small tear (no paper loss) on insert edge. A very small amount of corner wear on 2 corners. Overall near new in condition. Record: Side 1 has several light surface rub marks and plays with only an occasional light groove noise (VG+ to mint(-)). Side B has several surface marks. Some appear more pronounced. There is a light scratch from about the middle of track 2 to the same on track 3. There is some occasional crackling and some repeated clicks over the scratch. These are light and seem intermittent but they are audible. Some are over drum solos, so it is difficult to hear (VG to VG+). I have rated the sides separately to more clearly define the quality. There is not a lot of general play wear. Audibly checked.
