BEATLES ‘SGT. PEPPER’S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND’ ORIGINAL MONO XEX – 637-1 & 638-1 FIRST PRESSING WITH CARDBOARD CUT-OUT INSERT AND RED INNER SLEEVE & 8MM WIDE SPINE OUTER SLEEVE – “GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD " & SOLD IN UK LABEL TEXT

This is a lovely copy of the very first pressing of this seminal album. It’s certainly one of the best I’ve seen. There are a few, almost imperceptible, lightest possible, surface marks which are not scratches and do not affect play in any way whatsoever. The inner sleeve has a tiny serrated chipping to the top, one small, closed tear and about a three inch split at the bottom. The thick, gatefold outer is the very first pressing with the extra-wide spine which is completely flat and undamaged. Overall, allowing for the not perfect red, original, inner, about the best copy to be found.

There are a few of these out there, they sold a quarter million in the first week of release when all’s said and done. However, finding one that anyone wants to part with is another thing, finding one in this condition is something else entirely. A very, very nice copy and one you will not want to trade up from.
