Description
BEATLES UK – Abbey Road LP, misaligned apple sleeve and a mis pressed label.
1969 PCS 7088 - apple record labels.
A very first UK press album in original condition, featuring:
1. the text on the record label on side two has been mis pressed as it appears mis aligned, ie more over to the right !,
2. the record labels appearance on side two is unusual as it appears the have a completely MATT finish to it ! and appears to have a yellow ‘hue’ colour !, the label finish on side one has the normal ‘satin’ finish to it !,
3. each of the record labels have an unusual label variant as they feature a larger ‘33 1/3’ which is off set to the right !,
4. the inner sleeve is unusual as it has not one, but two ‘Patent numbers’ on it, ie 112,5555 and 107,2844 !,
5. most of the first press record labels on side two do not have the track ‘Her Majesty’ printed, but on this record on label two, the track ‘Her Majesty’ IS printed on the label !
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent+ condition, the sleeve has an excellent quality, unscuffed, glossy laminated front and rear. The original thin spine is in excellent condition and all the text on the spine is clear to read. As this is a very first pressing of this album it features the Apple logo on the rear of the sleeve misaligned, to the left !. The printers were quick to correct this and very soon the sleeves were changed and the Apple logo was correctly aligned with the song listing. There are NO stains, pen writing, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is an unusual variant original period EMI plain white sleeve with not one, but two ‘Patent Nos. printed on !. As it reads, ‘Patent Nos 112,5555 and 107,2844 !. An excellent, clean, fresh white, very well preserved sleeve. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE VINYL: side one is in excellent condition, side two is in near excellent condition. The vinyl is made from the period thick, heavy vinyl. It has remained very dark and glossy and seems to have received very little play.
The Matrix are: YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 - 1,
The Mother/Stampers are: ‘9 1 2 P G P’ and ‘ 3 P G R ’,
THE AUDIO: side one plays near excellent with some light ‘crackle’. Side two plays very good, with some light ‘crackle’ and some light ‘ticks heard hear and there. The record lays flat on the turntable.
THE LABELS: are in near MINT condition. As this is a very early pressing, side one shows a DARK Green Apple colour. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING - ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
