This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for an Olivia Newton John or Grease enthusiast to acquire such a rare piece of memorabilla which was actually presented to "Olivia Newton John" herself. It is extremely rare that an award presented to the artist becomes available. In 1978 the world went Grease crazy and the even today many clubs around the world build 10 minutes of Grease into their music mix. Next year marks the Grease 30th anniversary and this is a tremendous investment piece which can only grow in value. Please see the matching John Travolta Disc which is also offered for sale.
I am reluctantly selling some of my collection of music memorabillia of which this is an important piece and is not to be compared with some of the outrageous rubbish offered on ebay. The item is in good condition but shows some signs of wear. The disc was presented by the British Phonographic Industry and comprises one platinum 45 and is extremely striking. The plaque reads "Presented to Olivia Newton John to recognise the sale in the United Kingdom of more than 1,000,000 copies of the mercury RSO single playing record "You're The One That I Want" 1978.
