Description
It’s hard to remember that BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN first hit the headlines with ‘Born To Run’ way back in 1975. Since then, he’s consistently produced some of the best music to come out of the United States, covering the full gamut from commercially accessible rock albums to more sombre folk-oriented works. And, never afraid to voice his opinion, his poetic lyrics showcase a talent for finding grandeur in the struggles of daily life.
Taken from perhaps his most prolific decade, from the mid 80’s on, here are five superb offerings to remind yourself of how great The Boss really is. The singles are:-
MY HOMETOWN b/w Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town [first time ever released] (CBS, A 6773, released in 1984) The sleeve is in excellent condition with some light creasing and light ringwear on the reverse, the vinyl is in excellent plus condition with one small light surface mark on the A side.
TUNNEL OF LOVE b/w Two For The Road (CBS, 651295 7, released 1987) The sleeve is in excellent condition with some very light creasing to the edges and some almost unnoticeable ringwear on the reverse, the vinyl is in mint condition.
SPARE PARTS b/w Spare Parts (live version) (CBS, 652962 7, released 1988) The sleeve is in excellent condition with some very light creasing to the edges and some almost unnoticeable ringwear, the vinyl is in mint condition.
LUCKY TOWN b/w Leap Of Faith (live) Columbia, 658761 7, released in 1992) The sleeve is in excellent plus condition with some almost unnoticeable ringwear, the vinyl is in mint condition.
IF I SHOULD FALL BEHIND b/w If I Should Fall Behind (live) (Columbia, 658898 7) The sleeve is in excellent plus condition with some almost unnoticeable ringwear, the vinyl is in mint condition. (Note, there is a blemish in the vinyl on the A side, as shown in the photograph, this does not affect play.)
This is a really nice set of singles that will grace any vinyl collection – especially if you’re a fan of Springsteen! And by buying the five singles as a set, you’ll be saving heaps on postage too!!
