THE BEATLES - 'BEATLES FOR SALE'


This beautiful UK MONO pressing dates from late 1964 on the familiar black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1240

Both labels include the 'Sold in U.K...' text with a 'KT' purchase tax code in the centre of the side 2 label.


Matrix numbers: XEX 503-4N & XEX 504-4N

Stamper codes: 3,8/LR & 2,8/GMT

Vinyl weight: 164g


Housed in an outer laminated mono gatefold cover, complete with original rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex..' inner-sleeve.


CONDITION

Disc: NEAR MINT

This disc has been barely played and both labels are immaculate with just a single spindle trail around the side 2 cente hole only. 

Both playing surfaces appear 'as new' in strong daylight, revealing only a few harmless wispy paper hairlines beneath halogen light.

The sound is warm and full throughout with no trace of any groove/playwear distortion or any clicks, pops, jumps or other such distractions. Some vinyl background audible on the run-ins and between tracks, but this in our opinion does not affect the listening enjoyment. 

Cover: NEAR MINT

After 53 years, finding one of these fragile covers in this condition is virtually impossible. Fortunately this example is an exception.


The front leaf is clean & glossy with the only wear being a tiny wrinkle on Paul's mouth & a touch of shelfwear to the lower edge.


There is very slight wear to the right corner tips but all others are in spectacular condition.


Both inside panels are clean with no yellowing to the white areas or any damage to the fragile central hinge.


The rear panel is as clean & glossy as the front with no wrinkles and just a faint unavoidable disc impression.


Both upper and lower portions of the spine retain perfect factory pinched ends.


The spine itself is clean, white and uncrushed with flawless lettering.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT +

Clean & flat with a few gentle storage wrinkles but no splits to any seam.
