1965 UK 1st *EXPORT* PRESSING LP

**MISPRINTED 'SOLD IN UK..' LABELS**

This extremely rare 1965 1st pressing export mispressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: CPCS 101
Both labels incorrectly carry the 'Sold in UK..' text
The labels also carry first pressing 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
Interestingly the 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 2 label.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with original shrinkwrap.
Complete with its original plain white inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: YEEX 7-B12 & YEEX 8-B12
Stamper numbers: 1/G & 1/G
These rare mother/stamper codes signify that this copy was one of the first 300 pressed

Labels: EXCELLENT PLUS

Disc Condition:

Rarely out of its cover or played, both sides are clean, glossy & bright bearing just a few light paper hairlines under halogen light.
Unfortunately, because it has been stored with the shrinkwrap on, the cover has clearly contracted and has left the disc with a significant warp.
This fault caused tracking problems on my turntable but may be fixed by playing with a turntable record clamp, which I do not have.
Without the warp the record would have easily graded EXCELLENT PLUS.


Cover: EXCELLENT PLUS

The original shrinkwrap has preserved the cover extremely well. It is 95% intact with just a few small missing pieces near the opening edges.
Otherwise the front panel is undamaged with no creasing or marking whatsoever.
The rear is clean and white with just a faint stain towards the lower left corner and minor discolouration on the opening edge.
However, there are no other marks, writing or other signs of wear.
All flipbacks, seams and the spine are in perfect condition.

This disc has been carefully audibly graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck fitted with a Shelter 901 cartridge.
