To avoid being left with a huge surplus stock of unused, dedicated mono sleeves in 1969, EMI decided to simply add the stereo catalogue number to create what is now referred to as a 'Hybrid' variant. However, these mono sleeves still carry the wording 'This is a mono recording' on the sleeve notes
This 'Hybrid' cover is in truly outstanding condition, probably as close to perfect as you could expect to find
All corners are sharp and the spine is pristine
The front panel is unmarked, only revealing a tiny surface wrinkle when angled towards a bright light and no thumb creases on this lovely flat surface
The back panel is smooth and glossy with just a few mild indent lines and a little ringwear but again, no thumb bends
Upon opening, the internal 'hinge' creaks with newness and you are presented with mint panels
It would be very difficult to find a better example

Both sides of the disc are close to mint, with just a few light handling lines in evidence
Audio is flawless throughout, from this original 'heavyweight' vinyl

The labels are pristine with just a few very light carefully aligned spindle trails

Needless to say, the original patented white inner sleeve is close to mint

The 'Pepper' cut out sheet is mint

All in all, a fantastic opportunity to own a very rare variant in top condition
