CHET BAKER AND HIS COMBOS, I GET CHET WITH BOBBY JASPAR, A 1957 FELSTED RECORD LABEL, MADE IN ENGLAND LP. Cat No. PDL 85036.
Chet Baker earned much attention and critical praise through the 1950s, particularly for albums featuring his vocals (Chet Baker Sings, It Could Happen to You). Jazz historian Dave Gelly described the promise of Baker's early career as "James Dean, Sinatra, and Bix, rolled into one". His well-publicised drug habit also drove his notoriety and fame; Baker was in and out of jail frequently before enjoying a career resurgence in the late 1970s and '80s.
The record labels and vinyl LP are in respectable Very Good Plus condition with just signs of play to each label and a few surface hairline scratches none of which sound when played. The LP plays with great sound quality.
The original picture sleeve is also in respectable Very Good Plus condition, no tearing with just light wear and rub marks to the edges and corners.
