CHUCK RIO AND THE ORIGINALS - MARGARITA/C'EST LA VIE [JACKPOT 48016]
Label: Jackpot 48016 Titles: "Margarita" & "C'est La Vie" Release Year: 1959
Daniel Flores is best known as Chuck Rio. This was due to contracting. Much like Buddy Holly performed under the Decca label as himself, and as the Crickets under the Brunswick label to avoid stipulations. Flores and his group, The Champs, performed on the Challenge label. In 1958, the releases "Tequila" and it rose to the top of the charts. In 1959, as Chuck Rio, Flores cut a similar sounding single "Margarita." Structurally, the song is very much like "Tequila" - right down to the single title word being uttered in between musical breaks.
There is slight wear on either side of the label with no stickers. "65B" is written in pencil on the B side. The vinyl does show typical signs of playwear, but there are no prominent scratches. You can listen to the actual record here.

All records come with basic sleeves unless a factory or picture sleeve is indicated in the description. I do not use a grading system as I feel that everyone interprets it differently. For example, I see many records listed as being Near Mint, yet the label is torn or has writing on it. To me that is not near mint. I prefer to describe the record as best I can, post photos, and allow viewers to listen to the actual record as to determine for themselves how the record should be graded.
I ship using Media Mail at $3.00 and deliver the day of or after the payment is received. Please remember that shipping costs also include the cost of materials to ship the order. International shipping is available. The cost to ship this Internationally is $12.00. I will also combine shipping. I try to keep shipping costs as low as possible, however recent increases by USPS have affected what I charge to ship - and believe me, I am NOT happy about it.
I am happy to ship internationally, however I will not change the value of the record. There are many reasons for this. First, I enjoy selling records and do not want to jeopardize that. Second, I include a receipt with the order and if customs were to examine the package, they would see the difference. Third, if something were to happen to the item in shipping, I would refund the customers money, but then not be able to claim what was lost. Thanks you for understanding.
