One of the GREAT live albums - and a dream for the buyer..why? Well, it's a great album for starters. Then there's the EMI pressing quality - not all live albums sound this darn good.... everything is/was recorded and pressed superbly. But the added bonus - on this title the buyer can afford to be hyper critical on what they chose to buy! No need to suffer a 'quite good copy' or an 'excellent copy'. The buyer can insist on 'top level in all respects'. And it's not often you can say that on an original classic band title....
Absolute 1st press. All the 1/1/1/1's. "Gramophone" text present. Heavy-set vinyl. Original 1st cover. Both original inners are present so, We're 100% genuine and 100% complete.

Vinyl (Ex+/Ex+) Well, it would be rude not to... I don't like banding about Ex+...very few copies actually can achieve that level consistently/realistically. But this copy is looking superb - someone's been very careful with it. I'm struggling to pick out anything more than a couple of very light marks per side. Well, this copy is truly a marvel. EXCELLENT+ consistently without reservation. Easily within the best couple of copies I've ever witnessed - and that's because it plays pretty much darn perfect. Go straight to those ultra fussy moments - Child In Time is THE test track.. if your copy can handle those delicate low-key moments... it will sound absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, many copies no matter how carefully they have been treated cannot play these moments with a perfectly quiet background. You wanna hear Paice tap the cymbol perfectly in C.I.T. you're gonna need the absolute best preserved copy you could get your hands on. You want the opening spoken word intro before 'SMOKE' clean as a whistle - this is the copy. That track has awesome weight on this recording. And I'm pleased to report - this is THAT copy. Opening talk before 'Mule' - perfect. Quiet moment in the middle of the drumming solo in Mule - prefect. What sounds like violin at the end of side 4 - perfectly clean. Never heard better. Never will again. Don't very often use words like 'Perfection'...but this copy warrants it. You might pick out a couple of crackles in a couple of moments per side. But one thing you'll never manage - to better this copy. FINAL UPGRADE. Fully tested. Nothing in the background. Not the faintest whiff of distortion anywhere.
Cover (Ex) Good to see the cover almost matching the quality of the vinyl. The covers are often ok, but not great. It was a very popular album in '72. Nice clean front without creasing. Ditto the rear. The interior is perfect - lovely and smooth to the touch. Hardly any edge wear and nice sharp openings. The spine is 100% perfect. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Vg+) Light ageing. Bottom edge splits - have been taped up.
