Description

This is the original deep groove RVG-stamped “P”-pressing of Donald Byrd “Byrd in Flight” on the West 63rd labels of Blue Note BLP 4019.  The playing surface is in near-new condition with a high luster; however, there is a very occasional low-level tic.  The laminated West 63rd cover is in excellent condition – bright and clean throughout; 1/8” wear on the top seam, at the opening; ¾” wear/split on the bottom seam, at the opening; light lamination lifting/flaking along the opening.  Personnel include Charlie Rouse, Pepper Adams, Walter Davis Jr., Sam Jones, and Art Taylor.  $400.00.
