on the 1972 German Original BRAIN RECORDS - STEREO 1018
THE ULTIMATE COLLECTOR'S DREAM! THE MOST SOUGHT-AFTER ALBUM ON BRAIN - which is at the forefront of KRAUTROCK.
German groups took their own sound style from Progressive Rock, and without emulating any successful British or American rock or psychedelia, they
formulated a genre of their own. Often called 'ECLECTIC', there's a wonderful quirk that set this music apart from others.
The addition of sax was not exclusive by any means, but check out the last track on this; 'MATERIAL DARKNESS', one of THE most outstanding tracks in Rock, in my opinion. Combining melotron, guitar (without effects) and sax in unison for a masterpiece you can set alongside King Crimson's best!
The cover is as unique in genius as this music -
and I have to say the music lives up to it (unlike too many supposedly 'top psych' records which are all about the cover - i.e. July and Rainbow Ffolly)
For BRAIN completists, this is a HISTORIC rarity for the lable
